The D9 is one of those things that is so new that it’s still too new to get very much use out of it. So I’m glad that we have the definitive version to help us understand what the heck this thing is. It makes a ton of sense.

This D9 is the sort of thing that makes an otherwise great gadget a bit of a pain to use. The best way to be sure you’re using the right one is to look at the model number. And like most of the devices that are made in the last 12 months, and probably since, the D9 still uses a USB port on one of the sides for charging. But that’s okay because we’re not really sure what the benefit of that is.

There is also the possibility of using the D9 as a keyboard. That would be cool.

I do see the value in this though. I use a number of different D9’s and they all seem to work fine. I would suggest that the USB power port is something you might want to look for and get the model number from if it’s not already on it.

There are lots of D9s out there, so it’s really not a huge leap for someone to pick up one and get used to having one of them in their desk. It would be more that it would save you a couple of dollars in buying a new keyboard every time.

Also, I think the USB port is good, but its not necessary to buy an adapter to use it. The adapter is only $5 and it will save you a lot of hassle and work than buying the adapter.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The D9s are a bit overpriced for the work they do, but if you can afford it, you can certainly afford to use one.
