I haven’t been able to get a hold of Netflix for a few weeks now, but I’m guessing that is a good thing, because I don’t really want to depend on it for all of my video entertainment.

It’s funny how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are so automatic and so easy to overlook. I’m sure we tend to forget how much we do on a daily basis, but what I’m describing is something more like the mental checklist that allows us to make a decision. Not the decision to buy a new car, but the decision to get on the internet and go get a Netflix subscription.

Not the decision to buy a new car, but the decision to get on the internet and go get a Netflix subscription.Netflix is a huge money maker, so it’s not surprising that the millions of subscribers are paying for Netflix through multiple debit cards. The main problem with Netflix, however, is that even if you watch for free, you still need the internet to get the most out of it. The best way to describe Netflix is to say that you watch movies, but because you also have to download the movie, you end up paying for the privilege.

But the internet hasn’t solved the problem of paying for movies. Instead we are still stuck with DVDs. The biggest issue with DVDs is that they often have problems with scratches, fading, the need to be returned to the store, so that makes them a somewhat costly way to watch movies.

There are a few arguments for and against. First off, the fact that you can watch a movie at your leisure is a big plus. Secondly, the internet is a wonderful tool for watching movies, but without the cost. This is probably because the internet is a great way to browse movies, but also because the majority of movies are available without downloading.
