You probably remember the video from the recent Google I/O where they showed off Chrome. I thought it was pretty cool, but I was surprised at how many people wanted to use it.

Well, Google has been working to bring a new Web browser to the masses. On Wednesday I got a chance to talk with the chief product officer of the new ‘gorge technology alliance’, a company that will give the public access to Google’s Web browser Chrome. In the video, Google’s Gabe Newell makes a brief presentation about the alliance and how it will work.

I think the video is really cool, but I’m a little confused about what they’re going to use Chrome for. I’m guessing that they’re going to put it on the Chrome web site, but then why the name gorge technology? That’s a little confusing.

I don’t know if you’ve read this before, but the name gorge technology is an acronym for Google’s Chrome web browser. It’s a pretty self explanatory designation for the company that is creating the web browser Chrome. I don’t know which one it is, but I think the current Chrome web browser is going to be called something like Chrome, Chrome One, or maybe Chrome. Chrome is a new browser that Google is making exclusively for the Chrome web site.

According to the current Chrome web browser’s announcement, it is designed to work with the Chrome web site and it will work with Safari as well. This means that you can access all of Google’s web sites that you could be accessing on Safari easily, but you can also access those same sites using Chrome.

Chrome One is a way for Google to give users access to more sites that are currently only available on Safari. A few weeks ago Apple announced they would be providing Chrome for Mac users in the Fall of 2009. The Apple announcement did mention that a lot of people were clamoring for Chrome on their iPhone. I’ve seen a ton of news articles about the Chrome web browser, and with the Chrome One announcement it seems like it is a pretty big deal.

Ive been using Chrome One on my iPhone since the beginning of this year and have been very pleased with the experience. One thing I noticed is that Chrome One is much faster than Safari because the browser is using some of the same technologies. Safari on the other hand is using its own native technology. This means that you can open a tab and start playing around on your phone and if you are not careful Safari could steal that tab’s entire window.

The only downside to Chrome One is that it is a bit slow. It’s been the only device that the company has actually used to actually make Chrome work, yet the device has been running on an Android platform. The biggest downside has been that Chrome One does not support the phone. In fact, Chrome One is using its own native OS for the phone.

Chrome One’s main issue is that it is slow, so you may want to wait until you get a faster device. I’m glad they are still testing a quicker version of Chrome One, but for now I’d rather just wait and start my phone up with the device I’m after.
