sony smart tv keeps losing internet connection

I got a sony tv from my sister and she said it’s a great television. I have a sony dvr but don’t trust the sony tv because it doesn’t have a remote. I can’t use the tv while it is connected to my wi-fi or I can just watch tv online but I’m not willing to do that.
