I love this word—déjà vu. I had no idea what daytime technology was before I began reading a book titled The Science of Self-Awareness by Steven Johnson. I am a huge fan of the new, hip, and experimental gadgets we are now exposed to, so I am very excited to explore whether this technology could be used to help us make better choices about our daily lives.
Although I don’t yet know exactly what this new technology is, I do know that it could actually help humans to change our lives for better. I also know it could help us adapt to changing environments. I think this would be a very nice tool for humans in general.
In the same way that people can be helped to be better people, so could people be helped to be better at making better decisions.
I would love to see this technology used to assist people in making better decisions. For example, if we find a way to make better decisions when confronted by bad decisions (like a bad decision being something completely different from the good one), then it would be a huge relief to be able to make better decisions when the bad ones are around us every day.
But that’s not the only possible use. Many people have suggested that we might be able to use a kind of human-computer interface to help people make better decisions. This would be very different from making decisions through a computer, but that’s a different technology entirely. In this new system the computer would be merely an interface between the person and the decision. It would not be a decision-making system itself.
The new system will be pretty interesting. I like to think that the new game mechanic will be the same as the old system, but in a somewhat similar way.
