In the final weeks of the pope’s papacy, many of his closest friends and confidants have been diagnosed with a mental illness. The president of the United States, his former secretary of state, his private secretary, his closest advisers, members of his own family, and even some of his closest friends have all been diagnosed with a mental illness.
Pope Benedict was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in his early 80s. His illness isn’t the only one in his life, by the way. The president of the United States and his former secretary of state both had depression in their early 20s. It’s unclear if any of them knew they were having a mental illness, but it’s an indication that they were aware of it.
You might think that a guy with a mental illness is a freak, but you’d be wrong. While it’s not entirely clear to what extent the pope’s illness affects his decision making and actions, it’s still an indication that he might have some sort of psychological dysfunction.
It is possible that the pope was having a mental illness, but the mental illness might have been a case of “I’m not crazy enough to have thought I was a terrorist.” If its true, then it raises more questions and doubts about the mental health of the pope.
It’s also possible that the pope’s mental health was so damaged that he was unable to function normally within the confines of a church, and was therefore locked into a mental institution. This is something that can happen to anyone who has a mental illness, and is more likely to be reported by people who have had their mental health compromised by serious illnesses.
There are three mental illness issues I am aware of in Pope Francis that cause his mind to run in overdrive, so he might have a mental illness. The first is his “autistic” condition. He has a tendency to ignore the people around him and to have an “autistic” reaction to situations. He has a similar tendency to shut down in situations as well.
Pope is autistic, and he has a tendency to ignore people around him. When he is talking to people, he is generally ignoring them and having a reaction to what is going on. So when he is not talking to people, he is doing something else. The next is a condition called schizoaffective disorder. Schizoaffective disorder is a disorder in which the person has a mental illness in addition to having a personality disorder which is the last part of the term.
A person with schizoaffective disorder can also have an autism spectrum disorder which is what most people will probably think of when they hear the word autism. This is because, although the person has a mental illness, that illness is not what makes them have a personality disorder. It is, in fact, not that the person has a personality disorder they don’t have a mental illness. The illness is what makes the person have a personality disorder.
Schizoaffective disorder is a psychiatric illness which is not diagnosed until later in life and is thought to be due to an early childhood trauma. The person with schizoaffective disorder will have a high libido and low sex drive. They are often described as having obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. The person with schizoaffective disorder is very likely to have a personality disorder, but if not diagnosed they may continue to have a personality disorder.
For those who are interested or who want to learn more about the world of the pope and the Pope’s family, you can read Pope Francis’ memoir, Am I a Normal Person?, or his essay on the psychology of the papal family, “The Pope’s Family”. The first one is a good read. I’ve had a chance to read the other two.
